Global Church Planters is a local church ministry.
Global Church Planters was created by a vote of the
membership of Trinity Baptist Church as a ministry of
the church on January 7, 2004. Trinity Baptist Church is
a fundamental, independent, Baptist church led by
Pastor Bob. W. Smith. We only work through local
churches led by our partnering American missionaries
already on the mission field. We know that working
through local churches both at home and on the foreign
field will only maximize the long-term impact of this
ministry.

Baptist Ministry >
Global Church Planters is a Baptist ministry. Our goal is
to see thousands of independent, fundamental, Baptist
churches started around the world. We are not ashamed
of our Baptist heritage and seek to see our movement
perpetuated and strengthened around the world.

We Help American Missionaries >
Global Church Planters seeks to help American
missionaries reach the countries in which they serve.
We are not trying to reinvent missions. We are not in a
competition to take support dollars from our American
brethren. Our goal is to work with our Partners to help
them, through their trained converts, establish new
churches at a more rapid rate.

Churches >
Global Church Planters seeks to help found thousands
of new Baptist churches around the world. Our goal is to
enlist the help of 1,000 supporting churches in this
great endeavor. We believe that this effective coupling of
American missionaries training national pastors is an
incredibly efficient way to accomplish our goal of seeing
new churches started around the world.

Consider what Rick Martin has to say about Global
Church Planters: "I do not believe that this ministry will
hurt a church's ability to support and send out American
missionaries. The last thing I would ever want to do is
hinder American missionaries being sent out. They are
vital to world evangelism. Instead, I believe this ministry
will help excite your people to give more to missions as
they get more closely involved with the planting of
foreign churches on the foreign field. I believe they will
be encouraged as they see church after church being
planted.

Structured Support Plan >
Global Church Planters structures the Pioneers' financial
support to encourage them to build a self-supporting
church in no less than 3 years.For example, during the
first year a Pioneer will receive 100% of their
recommended support level, 66% during the second
year, 33% the third year. This reduction motivates
Pioneers to reach people in their areas and help them
develop faithful church members. (These percentages
and time frames fluctuate from country-to-country based
on the plan developed by our Partners.)

Financial Accountability>
Global Church Planters works with our missionary
Partners to ensure every dollar that is donated is spent
wisely. We do not feel that it would be right to manage
national pastors from the United States. Our Partners are
our eyes and ears on the mission field, ensuring that
their Pioneers are working diligently to build Baptist
churches for our Lord Jesus Christ.
