Tommy Ashcraft was saved in 1951 at the altar of Bible Baptist Church, Waxahachie, Texas, where his father pastored. He graduated Arlington Baptist College in 1969 and moved to Monterrey, Mexico, where he started Mount Hebron Baptist Church and Bible Institute. In 25 years, the institute has trained national pastors that have started 154 churches in Mexico, the United States, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica, Columbia, Perú, Brazil, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Israel, and Cuba. From Brother Ashcraft's institute, men are currently on deputation to go to China, Haiti, and the Ukraine.
Mount Hebron Baptist Church is currently building a 1,600 seat auditorium, and Brother Ashcraft's goals for the church's future include 1,000 soulwinners on the streets of Monterrey and a workforce of 200 Sunday School teachers and workers.
