Secunderabad, India
Solomon Saripalli was saved in 1958 while attending a Baptist revival meeting. He had been working as a secretary for the Praga Tools Defense Factory for fifteen years when God called Solomon to be a preacher of the Gospel. Brother Saripalli resigned his job and moved his family to Dallas, Texas, to attend Independent Baptist College. He and his wife, Nirmala, graduated Bible college in 1975. Brother Saripalli was ordained by East Side Baptist Church of Vernon, Texas. The Saripallis were sent back to India as missionaries in 1980.
Since going back to India in 1980, Brother Saripalli has established one main church, Philadephia Baptist Church, and
nine other independent Baptist churches throughout India. His Bible college is training nationals to go out and start
Baptist churches in their own country. Philadelphia Baptist Church also is involved in translating the King James Bible
into the Telugu language. Brother and Mrs. Saripalli have five children; his two sons, Joel and Rufus, work with him in
the ministry in India. Brother Saripalli's goal is to establish many more independent Baptist churches throughout India.
