Bro. Gonzalez wrote, "We know that God's work is the most important thing there is, for we see souls saved and know that they destiny has changed from going to hell to now, by the pure grace of God and His long mercy, their souls will one day be in God's presence forever.

We have gone through a time of discouragement because we have not seen much fruit yet. But the apostle Paul says, 'Rejoice,' We know that this is not an easy job, but wth God on our side, His work can come to pass. Thank you for remembering us in your prayers and your support. "

Conversion Experience

I was born in 1978 in Río Bravo, Tamaulipas. When I was eight, my mother died and, as a child, I couldn’t understand why God had allowed this to happen. I began to think that God was unjust and didn’t love me. I was angry towards Him, but at the age of eleven, God’s mercy saved me and I understood things better.

In the beginning of my Christian life, I wasn’t very faithful to church, because my dad was not faithful, and I followed his example. For several years, I was backslidden with no interest in God. Until recently, most of my family had not been saved.

After attending a church youth camp in July 1998, I felt encouraged to return to my home church. In August, while a guest youth pastor preached, God began working in my heart. At the time, I was studying for a degree at the local university. I had many plans and dreams about a job and earning money, a comfortable life, and being “somebody.” However, these dreams were not God’s plans for my life. During that week, I prayed the Lord would confirm the feelings in my heart towards Him. On Sunday, August 23 rd, the same youth pastor returned to preach and, during the service, I clearly felt God calling me to full-time service. I understood the need for more laborers and souls to be saved, so I surrendered to His call.

Calling and Preparation

I attended Maranatha Bible Institute, a ministry of Bible Baptist Church of San Luis Potosí where Dr. Luis Ramos is the pastor. In June 2001, I married Julia Molina, a graduate of the same institute. The Lord has blessed us with a son, Jared. In June 2002, I completed my studies in pastoral theology and served in Elim Baptist Church in Victoria Tamaulipas, under Pastor Marco Antonio Camarillo.

The Field

Some time ago, my wife and I began to pray about the city of Querétaro. It has a population of about one million people. According to our research, there isn’t one fundamental Baptist church in this city. Satan has much control in Querétaro. Famous artists go there to worship the “holiest death”- Satan. The Lord has confirmed His calling to Querétaro because of the need for laborers, Baptist churches, and the lost souls. While reading Joshua 17:18 – “But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine:” God showed me that although the city is very satanic, He will protect and help our family.

Future Goals

My desire is to be used of God to be able to start a work for Christ’s name. I want to build a soulwinning church that will impact the state of Querétaro for Christ.

Querétaro, Mexico

Mexico consists of 31 states and one federal district. Spanish is the official language, but one million Mexicans speak other indigenous languages. The population is approximately 105 million and grows by 1.8 million yearly. Mexico’s climate varies from dry desert wasteland conditions in the north to rainy, tropical conditions in the southeast and a mild climate in the central plateau.

Querétaro is a land-locked state, located near the center of Mexico, with a population of 523,800. It is primarily an agricultural and livestock-raising state.

While agricultural states such as Querétaro help make Mexico financially prosperous, the spiritual condition of the Mexican people is poor. The Roman Catholic Church has been deeply etched into all areas of Mexican life. Ninety percent of all Mexicans profess Roman Catholicism. It was present in Mexico from the first days of the Spanish Conquest. Throughout the country’s history, the Catholic Church has been the main unifying force of society. Many facets of Mexico’s Catholic Church come from native forms of worship as old gods were identified with saints and included in the Catholic religion. The most potent symbol of Mexican Catholicism is the Virgin of Guadalupe, a manifestation of the Virgin Mary who reportedly appeared on a hill near Mexico City in 1531.

Mexican people are searching for the truth and are open to the Gospel, but groups of American cults such as Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons, and Seventh-Day Adventists have gained millions of converts in the spiritually dry hearts of the people.

Thousands are saved each year as Bible-believing preachers tell them of the love of Christ. Pilot American missionaries, with established works, are training nationals in the ministry of the Gospel. National missionaries are sent out by the hundreds each year to win souls in cities, towns, and villages.

Global Church Planters desires to financially help these national missionaries (we call them Pioneers) start thousands of churches in Mexico.
